Voting at the ongoing national delegates elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has finally come to an end.
Over 9000 delegates comprising former government appointees, constituency and regional executives of the party started casting their ballot to elect fresh leaders to steer the affairs of the party going into the 2024 general elections somewhere after 5pm.
Counting of the ballots under the supervision of officials from the Electoral Commission (EC) has begun amidst tight security by personnel drawn from the Ghana Police service.
In a super-charged atmosphere at the stadium, delegates and contestants alike sit on tentehooks with some seen clasping and unclasping their hands in anticipation of likely winners.
