Deputy Local Govt Minister Advocates For Poverty Alleviation At 2024 High Level Political Forum

Deputy Minister for Local Government, Lawyer Ekow Vincent Assafuah has made the call for poverty eradication on the international stage for Ghana.
He told other world reps at the 2024 High-Level Political Forum that Ghana's president is keen on making life easier for the less privileged.
“As President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo emphasized We must do everything within our power to achieve the goals and save our people from the indignity associated with poverty and underdevelopment.” Ekow Vincent Assafuah said.
He further emphasized that Ghana's unwavering commitment and tangible progress in integrating local initiatives with global objectives by fostering strong partnerships and leveraging the power of VLRs.
“we can transform our communities and create a brighter, more sustainable future for all.” He noted
The forum was aimed at “Strengthening partnerships at the local level for effective service delivery: VLR as a tool for poverty reduction and sustainable development.”
