The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has come out strongly in support of Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame, insisting that his integrity remains intact and untarnished by the allegations leveled against him by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
On Tuesday, May 28, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) held a press conference accusing Attorney General Godfred Dame of perjury, revealing a 16-minute audio recording of a conversation they claim was between Dame and Richard Jakpa.
The opposition party demanded Dame’s removal from office and threatened to pursue criminal charges against him if the government fails to take appropriate action.
In a swift response on Tuesday, May 28, NPP National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), in a counter-press conference, staunchly defended the Attorney General, declaring that his reputation and credibility remain unscathed and unblemished despite the accusations.
Nana B lavished praise on the Attorney General, hailing him as one of the most diligent and brilliant minds in the Republic, and categorically rejected the NDC’s accusations as a deliberate distortion of facts.
'In the past week, the NDC has peddled countless false claims, manipulated facts, and distorted stories aimed at discrediting the Attorney General.
However, his integrity remains unassailable.
He has proven himself to be one of the most diligent and intelligent Attorneys General in our Republic’s history. His remarkable intellect and acumen make him a shining example, and no amount of underhanded tactics or malicious plots can diminish his exceptional achievements,' Nana B stated."
