Ejisu Will Have Its Share Of Development Kwabena Boateng Pledges As NPP Retains Seat

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has successfully retained the Ejisu parliamentary seat with its candidate, Kwabena Boateng.
Kwabena Boateng after Tuesday's by-election polled 27,782 of the total votes cast representing 55.79% while, his closest contender Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, a former Member of Parliament for the area who ran as an independent candidate, secured 21,536 votes representing 43.24%.
Total turnout was 49.1%.
The by-election followed the passing of Member of Parliament and Deputy Finance Minister Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah on March 7, 2024.
In his acceptance speech after winning the Ejisu by-election, Mr Boateng reiterated his plans to promote unity within the constituency.
He also assured constituents that Ejisu would receive its fair share of development.
“Development comes from the government. It is the government that provides the resources for development and it is that same government presenting me; I came on the ticket of the government. Whatever development the state will share, my job is to make sure I lobby for the people of Ejisu” he stated.
