Atik Mohammed has slammed the Managing Director of the Electricity organization of Ghana (ECG), Samuel Dubik Mahama, and the organization for failing to be transparent to Ghanaians over the cause of the current power crisis.
The nation is saddled with irregular power supply with many communities having to endure darkness for hours to days due to what is generally termed as “dumsor”.
Ghanaians have been demanding an explanation to what is happening and for the ECG boss to tell them the truth.
Also, they call for a load-shedding timetable to guide them in their daily activities but the electricity distributor has refused to draw a schedule for the nation.
Addressing the issue on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Atik Mohammed implored the ECG management to disclose the true state of the situation to keep the citizens abreast with the magnitude of the test.
According to him, “all these suggestions and demands for timetable and so forth are a function of knowing the true state of the crisis”.
He vehemently admonished the ECG stressing, “we need to bear out the truth so that the Ghanaians we are working with, we’ll get their buy-inhellip;We need to tell ourselves the truth and let’s know the extent of the problem”.
