Lets Create Economic Empowerment for Young People

The Communication and PR Manager of Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), May-Gloria Tadem, has underscored the importance of agriculture and innovation to the country and at large the continents’ economic development.

She said the future of Ghana’s prosperity is in innovation and agribusiness, as the combination of the two can bring about transformation as well as create economic empowerment for young people.

She explained that while the latter is a crucial sector that requires the needed attention, embracing it with the former and innovation will whip the interest of the youth, hence with the right investments, innovation and agribusiness can ensure food security, lead to job creation, poverty reduction and improve living standards.

May-Gloria Tadem said KIC will continually collaborate with partners to provide training and programmes for young people. A programme portfolio that not only addresses mindset alter about agriculture but provides practical training, tools, network and resources for entrepreneurial development.

She made this call when the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), engage the media engagement in an interaction with some of KIC’s team to familiarize with KIC for future collaborations.

Speaking about KIC’s Agritech test Classic programme, she said application will be open for tertiary institutions that will help to seek, build and empower young people to create alter and transformation.

The Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) invests in young entrepreneurs and small businesses who have big ideas and want to see their country grow.

The KIC was established in Ghana in 2016 with programs focused on inspiring and empowering young entrepreneurs to drive alter in their own country.

Since its inception, the KIC has focused on innovation in agriculture – the country’s most significant sector and largest employer.

More than 600 aspiring entrepreneurs have participated in KIC Ghana programs, resulting in the creation of more than a dozen promising start-ups that have gone on to secure seed funding, additional business training, and capital investment.Portia Mensah Bonsu/Peace FM Newsroom
