Robert Lewandowski was left in tears as he scored his first World Cup goal as Poland beat Saudi Arabia 2-0 to move top of Group C.
It was a hard-fought victory against a Saudi team flush with confidence following their shock win over Argentina and not short of energy.
Piotr Zieliński smashed home Poland's opener just before half-time against the run of most of the first-half play.
But Poland were left thankful for goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny as he kept out a penalty by Salem Al-Dawsari.
Lewandowski was gifted the ball by Abdullah Al-Malki to seal Poland's win late on after they'd twice ratted the frame of the goal.
